Being a student with exceptional needs can sometimes be very stressful. PAS can supply support groups, useful information and counseling to relieve the stress. We have a resource available called PAS ON CALL (416-381-3813) which allows you to call our pager Monday through Friday from 9-5 to get some immediate guidance.

We encourage special needs students to learn how to advocate for themselves for the things they need in school. We will help you learn how to self-advocate with information we have used with young people at workshops we have given.

Also, we encourage you to participate in meetings that are set up to discuss and review your special needs in the school. We support you in these efforts and will communicate this to your parents and to the school personnel.

PAS can increase your understanding of your particular exceptionality and answer questions you may have. We also offer specialized tutoring that is geared to special needs students if you require help.We can also assist your family in obtaining the services of an educational assistant.

We offer the services of the PAS Tutoring and Testing Centre and some of our tutors speak different languages. We also teach ESL (English as a Second Language).
